About one week after I changed the oil in my pickup, I had been driving for about 20min and suddenly my oil light came on. I quickly pulled over to the side of the road intending to park it then shut it off but before I could do so my rig just shut off on it's own. I also noticed when the oil light came on that the oil pressure gage had gone completely down to zero. I need to get it fixed but I'm not sure if the oil pump is toast of if it is something simpler than that. Can you help me out?

Check the oil pressure with a mechanical gauge,if normal replace the oil pressure switch. If abnormal could mean oil pump and/or engine bearing.
