If we put a heater under the hood for about 2-5 minutes truck will start. Where do we start to look for the problem?

Try to keep it in the bad state, then when it doesn't start, check for spark and fuel pressure. Fuel pressure at the test port can be misleading. It may seem to be there but it's not really.

Another thing to check is to measure the voltage on the two small terminals bolted to the back of the alternator. One must have full battery voltage and the other will have considerably less. You will see that voltage for less than two seconds after turning on the ignition switch, then it will go to 0 volts until you start cranking the engine. If no voltage appears during cranking, the Automatic Shutdown (ASD) relay isn't turning on.
