Engine Performance problem
1994 Dodge Ram V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic

It's a 1994 ram 150 with a 318 or 5.2 and we put a rebuilt tranny in it . It has set for a year prior to the tranny install and we had to put in a new feul pump as well . When we try to drive it it has no power behind it , bogs down when pushing the gas and dies sometimes . Any ideas ?
The trany goes into reverse , drive ,1 , and 2 ok and feels fine by hand so don't think their is anything wrong there .
