Engine Performance problem
1990 Dodge Ram V8 Four Wheel Drive Automatic

I have a 1990 dodge ram LE250 with the 318 in it. a couple of days ago it started acting up. it will start up and run just fine cold but after it warms up and cycles i cant press the gas pedal past mabe 1/8 inch befor it starts studdering and backfiring. If i hold it just before it does that i can get the truck up to about 40 mph befor it starts doing it again. At first i was thinking choke but i started looking things up and i found Distributor Thermal Vacuum Switch, and the EGR. Can you tell me what it wrong with it?[img:77a3c69202]http://www.2carpros.com/forum/automotive_pictures/427388_kyles_truck_1.jpg[/img:77a3c69202]

Your truck doesn't have a choke. Have you checked the EGR valve to make sure it is working? Fuel pressure? Vacuum leaks?

Let me know.
