I'm about to buy a Dodge plow truck with a 318 in it. When I ran it the exhaust manifold was leaking. Besides the potential of carbon monoxide entering the cab, what are other problems that may arise.(such as performance, future damage, etc.). The truck will be used to plow only. Thanks

You could burn a valve depending on how bad the leak is; however, I drove a 79 jeep for years that had a leaking exhaust manifold gasket with no ill effects other than the fact that I smelled like exhaust fumes throughout my twenties.
