When the truck is idleing it idles up and down has new wires plugs and no check engine light is on and it back fires and the timing is set ferfect no vacume leaks found and it will run fine sometimes

Hi:
Without the check engine light, this is a tough one. Does the truck still have a catylatic converter? Have you checked to make sure it isn't plugged? Have you checked the throttle position sensor or idle air control valve? Finally, check the egr valve and make sure it isn't carboned up and when it closes, it seals.
