1982 Dodge Ram starting

Sometimes this truck wont start. The engine turns but I get no spark.I think wires under the steering colum may be causing this problem. Its an 82 dodge ram. What commponents under the dash should I check?

Do you have power to the coil from the ignition switch when its on run position?

Find the coil positive terminal turn key on and check for battery voltage with a voltmeter

Today I tryed to start this truck (82 dodge ram V8)and. No fire.I jiggeled some wirwes under the dashboard and it fired up. I think my problem is there. What should I look for?
