sometimes this truck wont start.the engine turns but i get no spark.i think wires under the steering colum may be causing this problem.its an 82 dodge ram.what commponents under the dash should i check?

Do you have power to the coil from the ignition switch when its on run position?

Find the coil positive terminal turn key on and check for battery voltage with a voltmeter

today i tryed to start this truck (82 dodge ram V8)and..... no fire.i jiggeled some wirwes under the dashboard and it fired up. i think my problem is there ....... what should i look for?
