1979 Dodge Ram

My 79 dodge pickup, the oil pressure drops and overheats after running for a while. The truck will stall at stop signs. I changed the thermostat thinking that was the problem but it still does it. What other possibilities could it be?

If I had to guess, I would say the radiator is plugged. I would recommend that you have it checked and perhaps rodded out. To check it on your own, with the engine cold, remove the rad cap, and start the truck. Allow it to warm up. Once the thermostat opens, the coolant should be circulating through the radiator quickly.

Let me know what you find.
