Transmission problem
2008 Other Dodge Models 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 740km miles
----------------------------------------------------------------
Hi,

My car is actualy a 2009 Dodge Journey, with a 2.4L auto4sp trans. It's a week old. Since picking it up last Thursday; on 6 occasionsat city driving speeds; the car suddenly loses power, and revs to ~6000rpm; then drops back down and seems to re-engage drive train. It's as if I shifted it into neutral for a few seconds. I brought it back to the dealer this am- pretty upset at aa brand new car with an apparetnly bad transmission. They kept it all day, adn told me they plugged in the diags and found a computer up code that may have been causing this- they erased it; then took it on a test drive and said it's fine. This all sounds pretty bogus to me. Is there any credibility to what they are telling me?

Hi:
Yes, what they are saying is creditable. The trans is controled by the computer.
