Someone show me how to change oil and filter for my 2008 Dodge Nitro SXT 3.7 V6.

Hi:

Drain the oil from the pan by removing the drain plug. After it stops draining, replace the plug. Make sure it's tight. Then locate the oil filter. It should be in the front center or right of the engine compartment (under the car). Also, you may have to remove a plastic shield to see it. Once you find it, remove it and make sure the round gasket comes off with it. Next, take the new filter, place a thin coat of oil on the new gasket and replace it where the old one came off. Note, as a rule, they should be tightened as tight as you can by hand, then give it a half turn with the wrench.
