I can't remove the brake pads. Is there a clip? How do I get them off?

I assume you have a truck?

You just have to show it whose boss. There is probably a build up of stuff under the tin clips and on top of them locking the pad in place. Some can be surprizingly stubborn. Pry them with a screw driver or use a punch and a hammer and tap them out. When you get them apart clean and lube carefully.
