1997 Other Dodge Models play in steering wheel

how do adjust the play in the steering box ill other connections are solid ,the steerig wheel can move about 4in with out moving the control arm so i believe the play is in the steering box

steering is something you don't mess with if you don't know what you are doing. If you take it in to get an alignment the front end guy will adjust it for you as part of the alignment. Unless there is a problem with the box of course.
