I can't find the voltage regulator?

I like to know the way that looks the SMEC on my 1991 dodge van 250 with a 360 engine and the location too I have a new battery and a good alternator and I can't find the voltage regulator in the fire wall and is not internal(alternator) reading the manual book they appoint to a regulator located in the SMEC Ihave an idea of what looks like but I want to make sure(Located in center of fire wall above engine and looks like black hard plastic box? )

The single module engine controller is located on the center of the firewall above the engine. You got it.

Voltage regulator is internal to the PCM. For testing see Charging System/Testing and Inspection, here is the location of the PCM. The engine controller is located at the center of the firewall, above the engine. Check out the images (below). Let us know if you need anything else.
