yes i just bought this truck and would like to know the best type of motor oil to use and how much does it hold

you can use any 10W30 or 10W40 oil as long as it's not a diesel. Then you would need diesel rated oil and that is easy to find it says cd on the can/bottle. I would try 5 quarts witha filter then start the truck and let it idle and shut it off and check the oil again. That way when it gets full you'll know how many quarts it takes.
