I have an '87 Dodge Raider (same as Mitsubishi Montero). The engine was dead when I bought it, but I found another G54B 2.6L in great shape with 85K for $100. The engine came out of an '85 Dodge Power Ram 50 (same as Mitsubishi Mighty Max). My mechanic friend was doing the swap for me when he realized the bellhousing of my tranny did not line up with the new block. Was there two different transmissions in these vehicles? I ask because the engine is exactly the same except for this one oddity.
