okay, so i am parked where i have to back out, just recently, i would put it into reverse and it wouldnt move. i would have to rev higher to. but even then, it would jerk in an out of gear. what could cause this

Make sure the ATF is full. Also, have you serviced the trans with a new filter reciently?
