Engine Performance problem
1971 Other Dodge Models V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic

I have a crate 360 bored to 402 Magnum @ problems

I have an 800cfm eldebrock with a mopar Intake at idle it has quite qa lope to it but the problem is that if you let it sit and idle after a few minutes it will stall and then backfire and a a little rough to start afterwards.
Runs great under load but Idle is terrible also it will overheat if it sits and idles to long like at a long light and it wants to stall so some times I have to two foot it....any ideas??

Check the fuel pressure if its within specs-try re-adjusting the air/fuel mix, check the PCV valve, look for vacuum leaks, wrong sparkplug heat range, choke plate not opening. also check the thermostat and fan clutch operation.
