1987 Dodge Omni 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

how do I change the oil pan gasket without removing the engine from the car......

You don't have to remove the engine

Drain engine oil and remove oil pan bolts.
Clean oil pan and all gasket surfaces.
Install new end gaskets and reinstall oil pan.
Tighten screws M8 to 23 N-m (200 in. lbs.) and M6 screws to 12 N-m (105 in.lbs.).
