My Nitro has 29,600 miles, I took it for service (oil and fluids) yesterday and the technician tried to influence me into changing both my front and rear differential oil. I was shown that it was very dark and was told that it should be clear. I refused the differential service because I was unsure if it was needed also the vehicle is only two years old should it be changed?

I recommend you follow the manufacturer's recommendations listed in the owner's manual. However, if the vehicle is under sever service (dirt roads, water...) often, you may want to have it done if it is dirty.
