1995 Dodge Nitro Having problems with revrse but not drive

1995 Dodge Nitro 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

my 1995 neon is having a problem going in reverse it has to heat up or build up pressure before it starts to move but if it ran for an hour it will go in reverse no problem could my problem be a filter problem??

If you never serviced it, I would start with that. If it doesn't help, it could be a problem with pressure, dry or hardened o-rings in the valve body... Try servicing it with a new filter. Also, get a good additive for seals when you change the fluid.

Let me know if it helps. I have a feeling it may not, but it is the cheapest 1st try.
