My Neon will not start

I have a 2000 Dodge Neon automatic (195,000 miles and 2.0 liter engine) and while driving I pressed the gas pedal and I got nothing. I drifted to the side of the street and cut the car off and tried to start it again and it would not start and I had to get it towed home. I have fuel pressure and the fuel pump is good and the injectors are firing. I have no codes and my husband changed the ignition coil pack and I replaced the spark plugs and wires and still it won't start. I am wondering what it could be and since the computer is talking to the scan tool I am pretty sure it is working. The car will crank but it will not catch. My husband (who is a mechanic) said only cylinders 2 and 3 are firing. Could it be a senson like the crank position sensor? Any ideas would be appreciate because I need my car back on the road.
