I just changed trans fluid and filter on my 2003 Dodge Neon. The filter does not have any bolts to secure it in place. I seated it in place as best I could, then put the pan back on. How do I know if it is in place? Is the pand enough to keep the filter in place?

the filter should seat in the valve body and the o ring will secure it in place so that it doesn't move until panl is put on. that's what secures it.
