I have a 2003 Dodge Neon, SE (Automatic Transmission). Over the last couple of weeks I have had two mechanical failures, the issues seem to be the same. When I try to start my car, I hear a click and the engine is not trying to turn over. The first time this happened, the dealership told me that the camshaft sensor completely failed, along with the spark plugs (due to camshaft failure); in addition, they discovered that I had an oil pan gasket leak and need a power steering fluid flush. I had my car for about 1 1/2 weeks and experienced the same issue. I thought it might be the alternator; but all of my accessories come on: headlights, radio, and dashboard.

Thank you for trying to help me out on this.

If you turn the key and you get just a click
and engine does not spin (crank to start )
then I would suspect a bad starter

have the starter checked and or replace
