I recently the other week took a bend with an incline fast in my neon. When I pulled out of the bend the front drivers side had a shimmy going down the road. I contacted a alignment shop checking to see if I threw my alignment was out an they said I probably broke a belt in the tire. So what I did was moved the drivers side front tire to the back an the back to the front figuring if the shimmy moved to the back id know it was a belt. But it stayed in the front. So my question is what could it be bent cv axle, control arm bushings, the hub assembly, I have an appointment for an alignmnet saturday but hopin I can get someones in put before then.

Hi there,

This will have to be inspected by a mechanic first, there are a number of components that can be a fault any you will need an experienced eye to look this over, my first thought would be a tyre problem as well, when was the last time that the wheels were balanced?

Last summer when I had them put on. I have 17 inch wheels with 205/45/R17s on them cooper mirrada tires. Wouldnt it be odd for one to go outs balance suddenly though.

Hi there,

Not at all, you only need to rub a gutter or loose a wheel weight and that can be enough.
