2003 Dodge Neon Check Engine Light

The check engine light came on, and the only thing different that I could tell was that it was the interior of the car was warm, like the heater had been running. I looked under the hood and there seemed to be some vapors, not smoke coming from the dashboard area. Other than that nothing, no overheating, no leaks, no loss of radiator fluid, no unusual noises or loss of power.
