2003 Dodge Neon CD player wont work light flashes

2003 Dodge Neon 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

on my dodge neon 2003 I have recently replaced the battery I went to go start up the car and found out that the cd player is not working the lights forit just blink no matter what I do I cant fix the problem I tried disconnecting the battery again didnt do anything I have also checked the trouble codes and had them reset didnt do anything I was wondering if there is a reset button on it or if there is a way I can fix this if anyone has any info that could help it would be greatly appreciated thankyou

If all fuses are OK, you have to use DRBIII scan tool. Regular OBD-II scanner won't do.

If it has three tone controls with yellow leds that are flashing, it can only be repaired at one of the factory authorized repair shops. To be sure, pull the radio out to check the model number. If it ends in a "67", it has a defective microprocessor built by North American Philips, the same people who build the really crappy Magnavox and Sylvania tvs.

These problem radios were used in the older, 1999 - 2001 cars, so I'm not sure if this applies to your radio. It's not likely a transplanted radio either because the plug is different in 2003 cars.

There is a cd / cassette version built by Mitsubishi that has one extra button, but otherwise it looks exactly the same, and can run the same remote cd changer.
