Tried to bleed the brakes

I have a 2003 Dodge Neon and tried to bleed the brakes. The car has been sitting for 2 years and the calipers were removed. I put on new calipers and tried pumping up the brakes to bleed the lines and they will not pump up. The brake fluid canister is full. All lines and hoses are hooked up. Any ideas why it won't pump up.

Hello,

This could be due to a bad master cylinder.
If the seals inside the master cylinder are bad, then it will not build any pressure and will not bleed.

Try bleeding the master cylinder to see if you are able to.
