My Neon has recently started making a "tone" noise - like a warning light is coming on or a seatbelt isn't fastened. I thought it was just random and the repair shop (where I took it for an oil change and other work last week) couldn't solve it. I have figured out that the "tone" only happens when I have stopped (like at an intersection) and am beginning to move - not necessarily tied to giving the car "gas" - just the beginning movement from stop. Do I have a bigger problem? What is this tone? Just an electrical malfunction?

Tone is it comming from dash? Only on movement not at a stop?

Tone is coming from the dash (just sounds like a sound that the dash would make if like the check oil light or a short seatbelt warning came on or something like that came on but no lights are coming on).

It only makes on noise (DING) when I take the car from a stop at an intersection to movement - even when I don't touch the gas.
