I have replaced my timing belt, but the check engine light keeps coming on saying a tooth or two off on the belt. When notches are aligned it willnot turn over to start, What issue am i having is it the mechanical tension that needs to be replaced as well?

Put belt as to marks then you must enter relearn and cam and crank sensors will realign.
