2002 Dodge Neon Shifting in and out of Overdrive?

My 02' Neon started jumping in and out of overdrive on the highway. It doesn't always do this but it's been doing it more recently. It'll drop and jump a few hundred rmp's each time regardless of the speed. I'm not accelerating or slowing down and the roads are flat so I don't understand why it's jumping in and out like this. It's really annoying and any advise I could get would be appreciated. Thanks

as a 1st step tranny fluid need to be checked
also you may want to try tranny tune up
use ATF+ 3
