Engine Mechanical problem
2002 Dodge Neon 4 cyl Automatic 54389 miles

Hi. My engine light came on and it threw the P-455 code.

I checked the gas cap and it makes the noise like "shhh" when I take it off. I cleaned it and the code was still there.

Now I want to check the hoses but I do not know which ones (anyone have a photo?) And I do not know how to tell if a hose is bad. On visual inspection they all look new.

Am I missing anything?

Is it safe to drive like this?

Its a large leak
so if the cap was not tight code will set
u can have the cap tested and replaced as a 1st step and then reset PCM

special equipment needed to test for leak it a smoke machine

Disconnecting battery would reset the PCM
or removing memory fuse
just disconnect the battery negative
for a minute
