HELLO MY GAS GUAAGE IS SHOWING ME AT HALF A TANK FULL WHEN I FILL HER UP COMPLETELY...I DONT KNOW WHATS WRONG WITH THE CAR BUT IM ASKING FOR A LITTLE HELP FROM YOU GUYS BEFORE I TAKE IT TO A SHOP AND I CAN KINDA GIVE THEM A LITTLE INSIGHT ON WHAT IS REALLY WRONG HERE.IM TOLD ITS THE FUEL PUMP...IS THAT CORRECT? THANK YOU IN ADVANCE

Hi there,

I feel that it will be the fuel tank sender unit, the pump will be OK, dose the gauge drop past the 1/2 way mark when the tank is low? It sounds as if the sender float is binding up.

THANK YOU FOR THE REPLY. YES THE GUAGE DROPS WHEN THE GAS GETS LOW. HOW DO I FIX THE PROBLEM. DO I NEED A FUEL SYSTEM FLUSH?

Hi there,

You will need to replace the sender unit in the fuel tank, I would suggest that you get a mechanic to do this Job for you,
