At least every couple of days my car won't start right away I have to turn the key multiple times to get it to start. I have a new starter altenator and new battery but the battery is still corroded even after cleaning repeatedly. The check engine light only comes on for a second after the car starts. Is it the battery cables or an electric problem?

If it is turning over properly and not slow, the battery is fine. Does it do it all the time or only after it sits for a period of time? After starting, does it run properly?

Chances are the fuel pump is losing it's prime. Have you checked fuel pump pressure and drop off?

Last July I had a brand new fuel pump and timing belt put in. Altenator, fuel pump, top and bottom motor mount, battery, sway bar, spark plugs, timing belt, starter, all replaced between last July and this past June.

I would still check fuel pressure drop off. That is the most common cause of this type of problem. If you need directions, let me know.
