2000 Dodge Neon

have 00 dodge neon that has automatic transmission that will not shift from 1st to 2nd & no reverse. is this common? & did dodge have this problem with these trany's.

there are no recalls or TSBs for that matter over tranny issues on the 2000 neon. most likely you have an electrical failure of the transmission (shift solenoid, etc..). the tranny will need put on diagnostic scanner to help pinpoint the cause.
