2000 Dodge Neon brake light fuses

my brake light fuses continue to blow, the other lights work fine, turn signal, stop light, etc.

The bulbs were blown and I replaced them, also the top brake light, the fuses continue to blow, could it be the brake light switch?

welcome, there may be a multiwire connector under the dash close to steering column. It's for wires coming and going from the steering column. Take it loose. Brown wire with red tracer should be voltage for right stop lamp. Dark green wire with red tracer should be for left stop lamp. Use a jumper wire connected to battery voltage, use inline fuse, touch to terminal for rear lite, see if it still blows the fuse, check both sides. If it still blows the fuse, the problem is between the testpoint and rear. If it doesn't blow, and the rear lite works, the problem is between the test point and fuse.

with some makes and models there is a connector in the rear to disconnect all rear lites, not sure about yours? If there is you can take the connector loose, see if it still blows.
