i already installed the shoes to my car but now the E-brake is still not working..i can put the E-brake on and my car will roll down any slopes. what am i suppose to do???

Double-check the linkage and emergency brake lever inside the brake drum. Is the transverse rod aligned correctly, with its notch for the emergency brake lever in the right place? Also check for slack in the cable.
