2000 Dodge Neon a really bad smell

i have a dodge neon 2000 i replaced the belts and a couple of days later a horrible smell comes from the engine it smells like skunk.could it be the belts are rubbing? They told me i need a new serpentine belt tensioner could that be the problem??im puzzled,HELP PLEASE.

run car. when smell starts feel the belts. do you notice is it hot? i mean really hot not just mildly warm or hot.

if nothing smell the alternator and see if that smells burnt
