We had a tranny replaced on our '02 TL Type S last year. There was a recall of sorts where Acura did a voluntary extended warranty on the 3.2 cars for a known defect of the transmission. Yours may still be covered by this. They will even pay for repairs done elsewhere. You might want to call Acura for details.
