I have a 99 dodge neon, I had a bit of an overheating issue with my vehicle as the "service engine light" came on and the temperature gauge jumped to hot in about 1 minute. Anyways, the vehicle stalled and now when I take the keys out, the fuse box beside my steering wheel makes a buzzing sound and when the keys are in it stops, also when I turn the key to the start position for the engine, I don't hear the starter or anything. Could this be an electrical issue?

Hello, make sure the battery has a full charge and the battery connections are all clean and tight on both ends. If the starter won't even crank, I'd check the circuits at the starter relay in the power distribution center, under the hood. Unplug the relay, use a testlite, with the key in the crank position, two of those terminals should be hot. This sounds like the starter is having problems or the battery needs to be load tested these guides can help us fix it.

Please run down these guides and report back.

There might be a problem with the ignition switch or key cylinder. I'd have to do some checking.
