I went to change my spark plugs abd in plug # 2 & 4 i had oil on my spark plug socket and my car runs as if it was missing.. the check engine lite came on and i had a garage put it on the computer. they said the code that came up says it was a misfire on all four cylinders. they said it is caused by the oil going in the #2 and 4 spark plugs and it may be the valve cover gasket. Could you please confirm this for me so i am not sinking more and more money into this car?

I don't think a valve cover leak will cause 2 spark plugs to misfire-it has to leak thru the sparkplug threads to find its way into the combustion chamber.
