As a former mechanic this is frustrating not being able to unplug electrical connectors. The connectors for a starter control circuit, radiator fans are hard to access, and the push to release clips are prevented from movement by little red locking clips. Is there a secret or tool for releasing these? It should not be this difficult.

The red clip should just slid out. I usually can get them by hand, but have used screw drivers to do it when they are really tight.
