1997 Dodge Neon starting

I have a 1997 dodge neon and it would not start with the keyI changed the starter ,reiay and all related fuses and it still does not start there is no sound coming from the starter.If i bridge the starter then the car starts .could it be the key?

you are left with an ignition switch neutral safety switch
and wiring
do u have an alarm system
