Air Conditioning problem
1997 Dodge Neon 4 cyl Automatic 147000 miles
----------------------------------------------------------------
When I turn on my a/c or defrost.It makes a loud squealing noise that wont go away unless I turn it off.We replaced the a/c / alternator belt a little less than 1 year ago.Does anybody know what could be wrong?

check the belt again it may need to be adjusted

It is not the belt,the belt is in perfect condition.

If the belt is in perfect condition and adjusted and tight and all ok
that leave u with the AC compressor and the clutch
check AC system high side if to high with ac on
