1996 Dodge Neon 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 70.000 miles

hi I having a problem with my engine stalling sometimes at idol. When I press on the gas it revs up no problem but when it comes down sometimes it stalls. It starts back up no problem it sometimes stalls at red lights rpm gets real low.I thought maybye the map sensor went to the auto wrecker bought one changed it and ran great for one day then stalled again.I used fuel aditives still no help when it stalls it starts right back up with low idol then when driving it further it runs great again and dosen't stall. Hot or cold dosn't seem to matter can you please help me. Thank you don.

Feels like your idle air control motor is not working properly. Try removing it and give it a good carbon cleaning.

IAC motor is responsible to maintain your idle speed at the specified level. If you look at your throttle body, you will see two sensors. The first one is your throttle position sensor (TPS) and the other one is your IAC motor.

Hi zackman in disconected the battery and at the same time disconected the map sensor I then reconected the map sensor then the baterry the parklights then flashed twice.I then started the car and it seems to be good and not wanna stall is this normal with the parklights doing that I have no alarm.

I am glad your car starts fine now. But I am not certain as to why your park lights flash, if you have no alarm.
