I have a neon. It has been sitting for 3 years and I replaced the head on it and egr and it runs great but when I drive it shifts early when you have the pedal down all the way 2500rpm every time but if I shift it manually I can get it to rev out or over 2500. I can free rev it high too. No codes are pulled. I can't figure out what is wrong with it. I need help. Thank you

There is an adjustment for that. But if it has been sitting good possability that the linkage is froze up on selector shaft on tran. If it is a 3 speed trans. Go to front of trans there are 2 cables that go there the top 1 is your kick down cable that controls upshift and down shift. Try to move it back and forth. Also has a return spring connected to it dont take the e-clip off of the shaft, or you will need to take out the valve body. You can use a lube and work it back and forth to free it up, remember it is top cable. Bottom cable is gear select. Good luck
