front driver side brake wont release unless bleeder valve is opened

Dandy observation about the bleeder screw. Use a channel-lock pliers to open the crimp just a little where the bracket is crimped around the center of the rubber hose. Rust builds up inside and constricts the hose. You'll force enough fluid through to apply the brake, but the trapped fluid will take a long time to release.
