I have a 1996 dodge neon that keeps blowing the ignition fuse(the #10 fuse thats inside the car not under the hood). I have replaced the fuse multiple times. I let the car idle for about 10 minutes and then drove about a mile and a fuse blew. It took 4 fuses to get me back home that one mile

You will probably need to replace your starter. You can have your starter tested first before replacing but this normally happens because the starter draws to many Amps of electricity due to age, amount of use etc.

Thanks for using 2CarPros. Com!

Inspect the wiring running from ignition. Ensure no bare wires are grounding and use a meter to test wires for any shorts.

What kind of meter do I need to test for shorts and whats the procedure to do that? Do you mean the ignition itself?
