1995 Dodge Neon Starting problem

My dad and I put a new gasket kit on my car and had to realine the timing belt wheels the best we could got the engine back together. Tried to crank the engine over but car wont start. I'm only getting a 12 code error.

12 means everything is O.K.
I am concerned about Timing belt a, the best we could sends chills down my body. The belt MUST be instaled with the gears in the proper position.
Get some info are site www.2carpros. Com/kpages/auto-repair-manuals. Htm
will give you illustration and step by step.

You cannot kinda set the wheel right. This IS an exact science! Timing marks MUST be set on the timing GEARS. Not just close! You might want to check for engine damage now, if it's an interference engine, you will bend valves, or break guides if timing is set wrong!
