When I try to shift gears the car in to 1 gear and throw 4 it wont go in?

I have a 1995 dodge neon 5 speed. The? Is. When I try to shift the car in to 1 throw 4 it wont go in. But it gose in 5 and R just fine. Can you guy help me out finding out the prob. Thanks shawn

Does it shift through all the gears with the engine off when depressing the clutch?

This will be an internal transmission problem or the clutch is going out, please go over this video to help you.

It could be the shift cables are worn out as well. You might try moving the shift arms on the transmission by hand to see if anything changes. Please go over this guide and get back to us.
