What would be considered is a normal rate of oil consumption for a car/engine with 15000 miles on it and it had no external leaks ?

Hi there,

I would not expect to have any noticeable consumption at that mileage, what are you having to put in and what is the consumption mileage.

"Normal" is not something that is easily quantifiable. Is the engine using one quart between oil changes? Is there any visible smoke? You don't mention what the usage is and over what period. Some engines tend to use more oil when they are not yet "broken in" and it goes down as time goes by. You list the mileage at 15K, how much oil has you vehicle used so far? Have you asked other owners of Magnums or called the dealer? Let us know so we can assist you.
